As we enter the fourth quarter it’s time to evaluate the current year, capture remaining business, close pending business, and look to the year ahead. Using referral strategies with your current book of business will help bring in those end of season leads. The class will also explore what to do in a claim that is stuck in repairs only so your team can close out pending opportunities. This class will look at industry changes and the three primary aspects that will increase success in the claim results. Those three things are homeowner involvement, new documentation concepts, and strategies for adjuster meetings. If the homeowner expects claim success it starts with a solid narrative so they understand the role the contractors plays and the various things that will take place throughout the process. Contractors need to understand the importance of documentation and the various strategies of delivering that documentation. The adjuster meetings have changed, and this class will cover communication strategies that will help your team have a plan. The strategies surrounding repair to replacement continue to change and a great deal of the work is done in asking questions or setting things up before presenting the issues surrounding repairs. Attendees will receive the class slides and various documents to revisit the concepts discussed in class.

Speaker Bio
John’s roofing experience is rooted in southern Indiana but coaching contractors he has worked in multiple states. After a hailstorm hit his local town he took to the streets knocking doors to sell residential roofing. Over the years he has been a consecutive million-dollar producer selling both residential and commercial with his highest sales year being $3.0 million. Since 2016 John has studied asphalt shingles and become a master at identifying asphalt products. After working several claims with discontinued products, he realized there was a need in the industry for better reporting on shingle products and educating contractors on how to manage partial approvals. In 2021 John and a partner launched NTS identification services to provide a more robust report on what shingle is on the roof and the manufacturer’s stance on working with it. As John The Roof Pro, he has coached contractors all over the country on how to determine and present whether a roof can be repaired or if products should be mixed. His detailed approach has moved several repairs to full replacement based on proper information.
